HPN Survives Sandy - But with some damage

We're happy to advise that the building survived the storm with what appears at this point to be minimal damage:

  • Some A-Stack units suffered damage when glass-enclosed balconies blew out. Owners have been notified**
  • Some of the Dryvit covering the elevator shaft blew off
  • the new fence built to hide the generator was totally destroyed
  • Several sheets of roofing material came off the pool deck parking spots

Click "READ MORE" All in all the building fared as good or better than most. Thanks to Tom, Pearless and Mike for their tireless efforts prior to the storm to get the common areas of the building ready including moving everything off the mezzanine decks, boarding up the lobby and other glass, and battening down our hatches. The staff also moved deck furniture and closed hurricane shutters for those owners that could not get down and this no doubt helped everyone get through this massive storm.

**Individual Unit Damage
Please note that every owner is individually responsible for assertaining whether or not - and to what extent - their unit suffered damages from the storm, including possible leaks from above. Even if you have been notified by the staff about apparent damage, it is ultimately your responsibility to determine the extent of the damage, and work with your insurance company to repair the damage.
